Have you reported your U.S. passport as lost or stolen?

If you report a U.S. passport as lost or stolen to the U.S. Embassy or to the Passport Agency in the United States, then find it again, you should not attempt to travel using that document.

When traveling abroad, you should always check your passport carefully, to ensure that you always travel with your most recently issued passport.  If you attempt to travel on a U.S. passport which has previously been reported as lost, your passport may be confiscated by Immigration officials.
