
J.D. Salinger died on the 27th January 2010 at the age of 91.
Salinger’s literary reputation rests on the enormously influential work: the novel “The Catcher in the Rye,” centered on a sensitive 16 year old, Holden Caulfield.
Other workds by Salinger include Nine Stories (1953), Franny and Zooey (1961), and Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters (1963), a collection of stories from The New Yorker magazine.
