“My passport number has changed since I booked my appointment, can I still attend? Do I need to book a new interview and complete a new DS-160 form?”
Answer: If your passport number has changed since you booked your appointment using the online appointment booking system, you don’t need to cancel that appointment.
You should complete a new DS-160 application form, with your new correct passport details. At the time you attend the Embassy, you must bring with you the confirmation page of your corrected completed DS-160 form.
At the time of your interview, advise the consular officer that your passport number has changed.
