June’s most popular question was… “I am renewing my visa, do I need to present all the same documents as the first time I applied? Do I need to come for another interview?”
Answer – Each time you apply for a visa, it’s considered a new application. Having been issued a visa in the past is no guarantee that a visa will be issued again and each application is considered on its own merits.
Most applicants are required to appear in person to apply for the visa (a list of those exempt from the requirement is available on our website, here) and should be prepared to present all required documents for the visa class they are applying for.
If you are not sure what documents are required at the interview, check our step-by-step guide to applying for a visa. The documents for each visa class are listed under Step 5. The final decision on each applicant’s eligibility can only be made by a consular officer at the time they apply.
