UN Framework Convention on Climate Change

The 20^th session of U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 20) is well under way in Lima, Peru. The convention will take place from On December 1 – 12, 2014, and climate change negotiators from all over the world will work tirelessly on building an agreement to combat climate change.

Running parallel to the negotiations will be the operations at the U.S. Center, a public outreach initiative organized during COP-20 to inform audiences about the actions being taken by the United States to help stop climate change.

At the U.S. Center, climate specialists and scientists from U.S. government agencies, non-profits, academia, and private sector groups will engage with conference participants and virtual audiences.  These experts will address a broad range of topics, from ocean acidification, to earth observation from space, to President Obama’s Climate Action Plan.
