We are very pleased that Liberia has been declared Ebola free, and Sierra Leone and Guinea have about ten cases the last few weeks. The United States, along with partners such as the UK, have put a huge amount of work into containing and eliminating Ebola. Indeed, the United States has contributed $1.69 billion in Ebola assistance to West Africa. We also salute all the courageous health care workers, from these countries and their international compatriots, for all of their life saving work.
